How we helped Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley overcome budget shortfall and gain 12% more

Like many nonprofit organizations, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley was hit hard when the pandemic forced the shutdown of the Clubs and the cancellation of key annual fundraising events. The organization was left with a large budget shortfall and needed a strategy to help them fundraise to meet their budget for the rest of the year.

After a consultation with their team, we formulated a campaign called “Heroes”. The key message of the campaign would be: In times of crisis, we don’t find heroes. We become heroes. We made the appeal to donors as well as the general public through a cohesive remarketing and advertising campaign. We created a compelling commercial that air locally on Cox cable television as well as deployed it in a Facebook/Instagram advertising campaign.

The results was incredible. Not only did they raise enough funds to meet their budget, but they exceeded what was needed by 12%. As an added bonus, despite having to cancel their two largest fundraising events, we were able to help them exceeded their pre-pandemic fundraising goal by 27%. Take a look below at the “Heroes” commercial we produced for this campaign.
